Advanced Eye Care and Surgery- Dr. Debbie Zamora

Dr. Zamora is a native of Marksville, Louisiana. She has practiced optometry in Louisiana and throughout the Greater Austin area while co-founding Advanced Eye Care & Surgery. Dr. Zamora comes from a family of eye care professionals- her father, who practiced optometry for over 35 years; her sister, an ophthalmologist; and another sister who is an optometrist. Dr. Zamora received a B.S. degree from Tulane University and graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry. She completed an externship program at the United States Marine Corps Recruit Depot and Naval Hospital in Parris Island, South Carolina. There, she conducted procedures in a refractive surgery study to determine its safety and efficacy for naval aviators. She and her husband, Dr. Javier Zamora, have practiced together since 2002.

Dr. Zamora was the recipient of a Legislative Academic Scholarship for four years at Tulane University. She is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society, the Texas Optometric Association, the Louisiana State Association of Optometrists, the American Optometric Association, and is a past president of the Central Texas Optometric Society. Dr. Zamora is licensed in both Texas and Louisiana as a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist and is a fellow of the American Board of Clinical Optometry. She is an active member of the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce.
